Hunters interested in this hunt—do not hesitate if your looking for a five-star Red Stag hunt! My name is Richard Lawson and I’ve been hunting for over 20 years, never on a preserve, and this was/is a hunt of a life time! From the professional outfitter (Mark Luce), his guides (Mat and Pat), and the quality trophy German Red Stag I took. You’ll hunt the thick timber of Maine and never feel you’re on a preserve, it’s a very challenging hunt. Once my 12-point Stag was down, the animal was immediately field dressed and taken to the butcher, who professionally cut and vacuum sealed all my meat. Then the mount was delivered to a professional taxidermist who will have my mount completed in about six months. Lodging was exceptional, a nice cabin overlooking a beautiful Maine lake. Also available to me and my hunting buddies was a rifle range to sight in our weapons after the airlines roughed them up. Meat Processing
The meat in all of these photos was custom cut, shrink wrapped and frozen by Brousseau’s Family Meats in Detroit Maine.

Taxidermist 
Al Corson from Call of the Wild Taxidermy in Cornville Maine (207-474-5593) is mounting the first three Stags shown and Kraig is taking his cape back to Minnesota to use a local taxidermist back home.
Kraig used a 7 cu. ft. chest freezer in his pickup to transport the meat and cape home . This way he could plug the freezer in during his venture home when they stopped for lodging. Smart thinking Kraig !.
You may either bow or rifle hunt from our tree stands (our treestands are big enough for two people, so bring along a partner to share in your hunt), elevated box blind (heated when needed), ground blinds or still hunt with a guide which is provided at no extra cost. We guarantee you will have a clean shot opportunity during your hunt.

My overall impression on the hunt was just what I dreamed a cold snowy morning would be in the beautiful state of Maine. I could not dream that the quality of animals would be so great. We have Lakeside Cabins that will be available for lodging. The auction price includes up to 3 days of guided hunting and 2 nights lodging. The cabins have a great view of Sebasticook Lake and are only three miles from our Hunt Preserve.
There are no license fees or permits necessary. You may hunt by yourself or with a partner. This a private hunt, exclusive to you and your companions during your stay. Bookings can be scheduled from September 1st through mid February available on a first come first serve basis. Buyer pays any meat processing or taxidermist costs. We accept Paypal, Money Orders or Cashiers Checks. We also offer a payment plan, 4 payments, with the last payment due before or on the day of your hunt.

After a little internet searching, reading, and checking up on this stuff I found its a pretty well established product in Canada and hails from Quebec where they have this funny habit of speaking a lot of French. Thus the name, Jig-A-Loo, and the companys claim it derives from a saying they have up north, Ive got it!
