Another Anti-Hunting Bill To Ban Dove Hunting Makes Its Way To Rhode Island

June 25, 2007

For those who still believe that the ultimate goal of anti-hunting and animal rights groups isn’t to ban all forms of hunting, take a look at another bill pending in the Rhode Island legislature. House Bill 5668(pdf) will ban dove hunting in that state. The bill is being sponsored by Rep. Charlene Lima, D-Cranston.

The last state successfully banning dove hunting was in Michigan just last year. These anti groups target states that show a weakness of some sort in which they feel they could have a distinct advantage in forcing their progressive lifestyles onto the rest of us.

Don’t let this happen. Rhode Island hunters need all the help they can get to stop this action. The U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance provides an easy means for you to contact your representative.

ake Action! Rhode Island sportsmen should contact their representatives today. Let them know you oppose HB 5668 to ban mourning dove hunting. To find your legislator and for contact information, call (401) 222-2466 or use the Legislative Action Center at www.ussportsmen.org.
