Elena Kagan Is The Master Of Cheat And Cover-up

July 28, 2010

At least two United States Senators, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Susan Collins of Maine, have declared they will vote to confirm the nomination of Elena Kagan as a Supreme Court Justice because they saw her as a decent, honest and trustworthy person. I’m not sure what world they live in or perhaps more specifically who has bought and paid for their votes.

A short time ago, readers learned that Elena Kagan, while Dean of Harvard Law School, participated in and covered up unethical ghostwriting and plagiarism by prominent Harvard associates. This is far from actions to be taken by a decent, honest and trustworthy person.

I’ve come across another incident in which Elena Kagan was the participant that is even more disturbing. According to Shannen W. Coffin, an attorney in Washington, D.C., while Elena Kagan worked for President Bill Clinton, she changed the wording in a report sent to the White House from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). That document was critical in rulings handed down from Federal Courts concerning cases involving partial birth abortions.

The original report from ACOG stated “could identify no circumstances under which this procedure . . . would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman.” Of course this did not align with the political agenda of the Clinton Administration. Kagan then took it upon herself to insert wording into the report of ACOG. It then read this way: “may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman.”

This change of wording is a far cry from the claims made by the ACOG panel in which they claimed there were no circumstances they could come up with in which they thought a partial birth abortion would save the life of the mother.

Amazing isn’t it that such an act as this never makes for proper reading in any of the major newspapers or viewing on all the broadcast networks. With no fewer than two blatant dishonest acts, one in which it directly was responsible for the Supreme Court rulings on partial birth abortions, how could anyone of good conscience describe Elena Kagan as an honest and trustworthy person?

So, I ask again: Who has members of the United States Senate bought and paid for? There is absolutely no way this woman should serve on any court or even practice law and yet, it appears that she will be a shoe-in for confirmation.

There is still time. Write, call or email your Senator and tell them NO! No way!
