Climategate Festers. MSM Mostly Mum

Even after the ACORN scandal, it appears the Main Stream Media, particularly television, didn’t learn a thing. By not reporting on the recent events at the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Hadley, England, it shows us once again how insignificant the Main Stream Media has become. It’s just poor business, blinded by bias agendas that is preventing real journalism to even raise an eyebrow on stories that affect the globe, such as climate change. What’s to fear from seeking truth? One can only assume that the MSM’s choice not to run with any of these stories is either total bias or complete ignorance and being out of touch with reality. You choose which one because whichever it is, it is one of the biggest reasons millions of Americans are choosing to get their information from sources other than newspapers and television. Who can blame them?
Any mention of Climategate by the MSM is mostly “much ado about nothing” and the monotonous explanation that something was “taken out of context”. Here’s a gem though. The New York Times refuses to publish any of the information about the emails and documents that got hatched claiming some fantasy about being do-gooders not wanting to make public information they insist was never meant for public scrutiny. This coming from the same newspaper that readily publishes classified military documents as well as jumping all over the information that got hacked out of Sarah Palin
But that’s not really the worst of it. While Climategate festers, seeking a boil, perhaps exposing an effort in scientific research that is riddled with lousy work, incomplete and corrupt data and a conspiracy effort to hide the truth, much of the MSM are perpetuating the same end of the world scenario if we don’t do something about our carbon footprints now.
Taking a page right out of the Barack Obama playbook of exclaiming dire circumstances and the need to act now before it’s too late, anthropogenic global warming proselytes, continue to fill the media channels with more desperation if we don’t act now. And, seemingly not at all phased by Climategate, the same scientists who are being called out about their criminal activities in promoting climate change, are telling the world their records show that 2009 will be the fifth hottest year on record. And we should believe them, right?
I am also sure the release of this information and others I have seen is part of a plan leading up to the global conference in Copenhagen next month about what to do with saving the planet.
Other than what appears to be some posturing by a few politicians calling for investigations, nothing really new has transpired in the last few hours. There is however, according to Prison Planet, a petition being passed around in the UK asking people to sign it. The petition asks the Prime Minister to suspend the Climate Research Unit until an investigation can be completed.
Some are saying that the information “hacked” from these accounts will have little if any effect on the man-made global warming agenda and they are probably right unless more people speak up and demand some answers. Yes, there are some calling for investigations but how can we be assured that they aren’t going to call in the fox to investigate the chicken coop?
Wait and see if Obama makes any move at all, which I doubt he will, he may send in his Science Czar, John Holdren. Is that not a good idea?
Michelle Malkin tells us that Holdren has been hyping climate change as a man-made problem for years and he’s not so innocent and isolated from the hacked emails and documents that have come into public viewing. She cites an article in the Canada Free Press exposing Holdren’s connections with the Climate Research Unit’s scientists that are under the gun.
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!”
We all must insist on answers and for God’s sake let’s stop with the “taken out of context” lullaby. Nobody wants to hear it and it’s putting us all to sleep.

Whoa! I guess I might have been a bit premature when I stated that little had happened in the last few hours pertaining to Climategate: BIG NEWS!
Noel Sheppard, Newsbusters, via American Thinker, has just busted open what might actually be the “smoking gun” from the vast array of emails and coded documents unveiled in “hacked” documents.
If a divergence exists between measured temperatures and those derived from dendrochronological data after (circa) 1960 then discarding only the post-1960 figures is disingenuous to say the least. The very existence of a divergence betrays a potential serious flaw in the process by which temperatures are reconstructed from tree-ring density. If it’s bogus beyond a set threshold, then any honest men of science would instinctively question its integrity prior to that boundary. And only the lowliest would apply a hack in order to produce a desired result.
And to do so without declaring as such in a footnote on every chart in every report in every study in every book in every classroom on every website that such a corrupt process is relied upon is not just a crime against science, it’s a crime against mankind.
Sheppard wants to know, “If a software designer, consultant, and business owner in his spare time can uncover this, why can’t America’s leading science periodicals or key “journalists” in this debate?”
He also questions, as I have, what the real agenda of our insignificant Main Stream Media is?
Is investigative journalism truly dead in this country, or is it only employed to uncover truths that either buttress the media’s view of the world or undermine those that don’t?
When one considers, as Sheppard did, the major news events that have had drastic implications on our society, went overlooked by this MSM, serious questions arise.
