Coyotes Are Highly Adaptable In More Ways Than You Think
October 20, 2009

The coyote shown in the picture above, was struck by a couple driving on Interstate 80 near the Utah/Nevada border. Traveling at an estimated speed of 75 mph, the driver struck the coyote and didn’t bother stopping because he said he thought it was bad, that the coyote had been killed and that it was pointless to stop.
He continued on, traveling another 8-10 hours and upon reaching his destination, discovered the coyote had been lodged in his grill and what appears to be all the way through to the engine.
Aside from a few scrapes on one paw, the coyote was fine. He was taken to a rehabilitation center and escaped. Like a coyote like this was going to stick around some prison for animals.
Yep! Coyotes are a highly adaptable animal, that’s for sure and in this case well dispersed after the event.

“Pointless to stop” should have stopped, regardless. He didn’t care, obviously, about the animal or his vehicle. Granted, any ol’ ford is fixable, it’s just a ford.
I’m glad for the coyote; sad for the nit-wit at the wheel.
[...] Apparently even something much bigger has a hard time getting the job done. [...]
I can’t imagine hitting anything with my car and not stopping. How did he know his radiator wasn’t full of holes? How did he know he hadn’t ALMOST snapped off a tie rod or something?
Yeah you’re right! I think it’s obvious he could care less about the animal but, but, but, but…………He’ll be president someday probably!
