Sotomayor is “Dismissive” Of The Second Amendment

July 10, 2009

The Heritage Foundation provides readers with a pretty good explanation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s dismissing of our Second Amendment in activist cases she has ruled on.

Thought it was interesting that in the second paragraph, of the Heritage article, the same conflict of applying the 14th amendment to the 2nd, was being used again to the determent of the 2nd…..

“James Maloney was arrested at his New York home and charged with possession of a weapon—in this case, a chuka stick—in violation of New York law. He challenged the weapons prohibition as violating his rights under the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. A three-judge panel on which Judge Sotomayor sat disposed of his claims with brevity—with great brevity. First, after acknowledging that the Supreme Court’s decision in DC v. Heller affirmed that, yes, the Second Amendment does indeed guarantee an individual right, the panel found that the Second Amendment nonetheless did not apply to the states—a decision which would permit complete weapons bans in a majority of the country.”

This is the reason we have to work with the 14th amendment in the application of the 2nd…….and the reason the NRA is having to utilize it as a reason to apply our 2nd amendment rights to EACH AND EVERY CITIZEN IN THE USA….

How about it, Greg….is there any way you are going to approve the application of this amendment, since it is being used consistently to disarm the public, state by state?

If I want to convince the public to go for this nonsense then I will stage events such as this just for the purpose of attaining my goal. The true and correct meaning of the Red 14th Amendment changing Natural God Given Rights to Nation State Privilege will never appeal to me…It is a lie…
