Rain! Rain! Rain! Rain! Rain!
June 22, 2009
Nasty weather here in Eastport, Maine!!!! So much I guess for playing tourist today, or at least this morning. Got up around 7 this morning. It has rained off and on all night long with strong winds out of the east and sometimes northeast. Currently is is raining moderately with winds probably in the 30 mph range and cold – around 58 degrees. Forecast is for more of the same.
Last evening in between rain squalls, I walked out onto a rocky point nearby and watched as the seagulls were trying to capitalize on schools of fish jumping by the thousands. I don’t know what kind they were. I’m not much of a sea fisherman.
I did however, dig out my long pants, boots and winter jacket to wear as the weather is really quite miserable. We had hopes of moving down the coast tomorrow to the Acadia/Bar Harbor region but if this weather persists, I can be miserable most anywhere and not have to spend so much money.

Same here..Love it, this dried up old dust patch needed a good cleansing, and we have been getting pounded for three weeks, ankle deep mud and puddles every where, sure makes shoeing the horse fun..
