Al Gore’s Two “Inventions” Not Faring Very Well

May 6, 2009

Al Gore’s claim of “An Inconvenient Truth” might be coming back to haunt him and make him feel just a tad “inconvenient” himself. Gore’s self-proclaimed invention, the Internet, seems to be running out of bandwidth and his creation of man-made global warming theory is running out of support and science to back it.

While some, led by Al Gore and his global warming, fear mongering, money making machine, opted to “settle the science” on global warming, intelligent people continued to discuss and study to find out what really is going on with our climate – everything that affects it and not just limiting it to man. It is the truth we’re after, right?

As time ticks away, everything that Al Gore has predicted to come true hasn’t and more and more scientists are questioning whether man’s contribution to warming has any or even minimal effects on climate change. (Don’t confuse this with cleaning up the air. CO2 is not a pollutant.)

Now to add to that growing list, it seems that National Geographic is saying that the sun might be the major contributor to changing climate, especially temperatures.

A prolonged lull in solar activity has astrophysicists glued to their telescopes waiting to see what the sun will do next—and how Earth’s climate might respond.

The sun is the least active it’s been in decades and the dimmest in a hundred years. The lull is causing some scientists to recall the Little Ice Age, an unusual cold spell in Europe and North America, which lasted from about 1300 to 1850.

But Al Gore shouldn’t worry too much about being able to dump thousands of gallons of fuel into this luxury jet just yet. Should this latest “Little Ice Age” pan out to be only 3 or 4 hundred years long, I’m sure his legacy will carry on so that by the year 2323, if man is still alive, if woman can survive, someone can take up the torch for Al and stop the polar ice caps from melting. They might also be in need of finding a way to reduce the polar bear population, as surely as melting ice will kill them, growing ice will make them prosper.

Even the National Geographic piece carries the insistence from die hard man-made global warming theorists that this dimming of the sun and reduction of sun spots has little to do with our weather.

“I think you have to bear in mind that the CO2 is a good 50 to 60 percent higher than normal, whereas the decline in solar output is a few hundredths of one percent down,” Lockwood said. “I think that helps keep it in perspective.”

You’re safe for now Al. You can continue to dupe people with your inventions and line your bank accounts but in the meantime, could you look into this running out of bandwidth thingy that’s going on with the Internet. I’m just a little guy compared to you and if we lose the Internet, I can’t afford to pay for those windmills and solar panels you’ve invested heavily in. I certainly can’t afford to buy any carbon credits.
