How The NRM States Plan To Monitor Wolves If Ever Delisted

March 17, 2009

It’s anyone’s guess at this point if and when the gray wolf will be removed from the Endangered Species Act list. That could happen in about a month or never.

If that day ever arrives, the states (Idaho and Montana, Wyoming was excluded) that make up the Northern Rocky Mountain Distinct Population Segment of gray wolves have devised a modeling plan to keep track of wolves.

This is the final report, “Developing Wolf Population Monitoring Techniques“.

All you hunters out east have to realize what a detrement these wolves have been to the Rocky Mountain Elk. Don’t let the feds do to you what they did to us out here.
I highly recommend that you take a listen to the podcast with Ron Gillett. It will help educate you on the problems we are having with these damn wolves.

They haven’t done a very good job of keeping trackof wolvs so far, what’s gonna change. In Idaho we probably have double what they say and here up north I’m certain of it.
