More Global Warming Hysteria

“Antarctic Meltdown Would Flood Washington, D.C.” That’s the headline found yesterday in Yahoo News! And from what we are all witness to of late, why would this be a bad thing?

All kidding aside (never gonna happen), the global warming alarmists are still up to their same old tricks only bigger and better. They realize they are losing this cry of insanity so they are ramping up the scare tactics now by saying that IF the Antarctic ice cap melted, Washington, D.C. would go under water.

Washington, D.C., and other coastal U.S. cities could find themselves under several more feet of water than previously predicted if warming temperatures destroy the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, a new study based on a model predicts…………
Whether or when this ice sheet might melt is still very uncertain, but even a partial melt would have a bigger impact on some coastal areas than others. (I added the emphasis)

Now that’s convincing isn’t it? If Jupiter should leave its orbit and collide with Earth, God only knows what might happen! If it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, people could drown! If a politician had a brain we could get out of our economic mess! Why is any of this newsworthy?

It all kind of reminds me of when my son was perhaps 6 or 7 years old and he used to play such games with me. One day while watching a baseball game on television he asked, “If a player hit a baseball and it flew in the air and hit a bird, and the ball came down and hit the top of the fence and rolled along the top to the fence all the way to the foul pole and it hit the foul pole and fell into the outfield and a player ran and caught it before it hit the ground, would that be an out?”

But this time, like all the other times, we are supposed to believe this because this is from another “new computer model”. That proves nothing because you and I have not the slightest idea of what went into the equation to render the latest catastrophic model of death and destruction.

If you live in coastal areas, you better make plans now to get out. And by the way, your real estate is worthless now, so if you’d like for me to take over the deed, I’d be happy to pay your taxes until such time as the waters come crashing down on me. Or we could swap it for bridges I own in several states.
