Defenders Of Wildlife Attacking Palin. Not Interested In Saving Wolves

Yesterday I briefly mentioned that Ashley Judd, working for Defenders of Wildlife, was attacking Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for killing wolves to conserve caribou and moose populations. I likened Judd’s knowledge of wildlife conservation to that of Al Gore’s intelligence quotient of the climate.

Newsbusters Noel Sheppard investigated more of what is behind the campaign launched against Sarah Palin.

Sheppard pulls information from the website of the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund that states very clearly their interest is not with wolves but with bringing down the political career of the Alaska Governor.

“Sarah Palin isn’t fading into the background, so neither are we,” commented Defenders Action Fund President Rodger Schlickeisen. “Given her known political aspirations, the American public deserves to know what she’s doing in Alaska, and about her extreme anti-conservation policies.

Isn’t it obvious the real intentions here? But just as obvious is the lie perpetuated by Defenders and others that killing the wolves is “anti-conservation”. Is Defenders suggesting that allowing the wolves to go unmanaged, which would result in the total destruction of caribou and moose, conservation? Conservation involves all species.

But Defenders knows that wolves are a controversial animal, totally misrepresented here in the West as being a cute and cuddly creature, that it can demand a lot of attention and with that attention comes money. Flash a picture of cute little wolf cub and follow that up with a photo of aerial wolf management control and the wallets open wide.

Once again the public is duped.

Reuters covers this story in a one-side event. Not only has Reuters not bothered to contact any scientists with the Alaska fish and game department for a scientific explanation, they simply promote the lies perpetuated in the short documentary narrated by Ashley Judd.

Then it gets really ridiculous. Reuters claims Sarah Palin was responsible for enabling abortion rights groups to raise more money.

Palin was credited with galvanizing the Democratic Party base and raising money for abortion rights causes last year because of her social and religious conservatism and strong opposition to abortion rights.

It seems Palin can still galvanize activsists on the left and in this case perhaps help raise money for a conservation group.

Excuse me! Is this a story about wolves in Alaska or is this, like the efforts publicly exclaimed by Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, an attempt to destroy Palin’s political career?

    Deo-
    Your a real Jack-

Remember who is who, Sarah is college educated, and lives in a area of an overpopulation of wolves, and is famous for being a VP pick.

Judd was a a want to be, that finially made years after her mom and sis paved the way, plus has a narsistic personality to boot.

Really who do you think knows better?

Wolves need to be controlled, and if it from an plane, well get er done…

Wolves will be controlled sooner or later as they were in the past by the people.
When enough is finally enough the people will take care of things. When I say the people I mean the real people of the west who have to make a living and care for their family in the mist of Wolves. It may be to late for the Elk and deer for now but the day will come for the wolves.

DOW is deliberately distorting predator control by singling out Alaska, and Gov. Palin. Similar programs exist in almost every state. As for Judd, she’s essentially an airhead, a hasbeen, who would benefit a lot from a stay at a clinic somewhere. Gov. Palin has every right, and in fact, a duty to respond to this kind of sleezy sort of activity by the far left loons. Perhaps, DOW and Judd should go to Alaska, live trap some of the wolves, and take them home with them, I hear they make great pets.

I challenge ANY person to come get wolves out of Alaska. Clueless rantings
show your ignorance of wovles and the state. Knowing nothing is a good place
    to start, tho.

I have to agree with Jim and Farb. Sooner and later the wolves will be taken
care of. It’s a shame so many animals will die in the meantime, unnecessarily.
Then the loveable wolve will starve to death by the Destroyers of Wildlife and
THAT is shameful, to say the least.

Got something to say?
