Obama Picks Sunstein “Radical Animal Rights Activist”

President elect Barack Obama has picked Cass Sunstein to be his head of Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) and he’s a nutjob when it comes to animal rights. Are you doubtful? This is what Sunstein wrote in 2004 in a book he authored.
“[A]nimals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives, to prevent violations of current law … Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients’ behalf.”
According to ConsumerFreedom.com, Sunstein’s job is to regulate everything, even to the point of overhauling everything we do (that might not be a bad idea for a lot of things.) But here’s what he said at a speech at Harvard recently.
“We ought to ban hunting, I suggest, if there isn’t a purpose other than sport and fun. That should be against the law. It’s time now.”
In short, Sunstein is a whack job, a real nutcase when it comes to animals. Anyone who would seriously consider giving animals the right to bring lawsuits, isn’t fit for any office. He basically would like to ban the use of animals for everything under the sun – food, pets, clothing, science, you name it.
And while our focus is on some crook who doesn’t want to pay his self-employment taxes, Obama is quietly loading up his on his radical left-wing picks, a true reflection of his politics.
Doesn’t anybody have ANY suspicions or are we all going to jump in?

It’s a deliberate act against America and what she stands for and the so called
president elect is no friend thus far to any of us. Every decision coming out of
his croany-con admin. is so anti-american, it looks and feels like Germany
re-visited.

I don’t give a shit what this dumb ass says or tries to do about hunting. I was raised on wild game, my kids four o them were raised on wild game and as long as i can walk or crawl I’ll hunt one way or the other. What scares me most is how far do we let them push until we push back and just how bad can it get when we’ve had enough and decide it’s time to push back.

Ar, I’m with you on all points but consider that Obama won by a large margin of
over 5 million votes. So, to think that most Americans are thinking like you and
me isn’t exactly true. There is a huge shift in how people veiw: life, liberty and
freedom. They think it’s the governments job to provide everything but toilet
paper and that’s coming soon. You notice, the large populated areas in large
cities are the ones who voted for “change” and the majority of the land mass in
this country did not. Why? 50 years ago this guy would have been in ‘the loony
bin’ and he now is considered one of the most prominent scholars in law in
this country. There’s a shift and there’s no explaining it in ‘common sense’
terms. Wrong will become right and right will become wrong. This guy is going
to be in a very powerful position and there’s nothing we can really do about it.
Check the media, tv and movies, they all lean towards the anti-hunting, anti-
land owner (unless they own it, i.e. TNC), ant-human, and pro-animal to
the extent that they should be able to sue you. We still go to their movies, watch
their tv shows and biased news. STOP supporting them!
We ought to ban hiking/horse back riding and packing/ fishing/ ski skating/ downhill skiing/ access to Wildernesss area’s/ backpacking/pro sports/ nascar/ Indy 500/ freespeech, their working on that/ farming ranching, their working on that to/ the existence of deer and elk, their working on that to/ gun ownership their working on that to/ reading the Bible, their working on that one to/ the ability to attain truthful knowledge via suppressed books by removing them from library’s, they been working on that since the late 1800s../ free thoughts of the Individual, well Rockefeller and Dewey attacked this concept in the 1920s, and we can see the success they have had with this dumbing down process…Hell Obama is so stupid he can not put two thoughts together and complete a sentence…don’t believe me, take away his teleprompter he reads, and his speech writers who hand him their agenda and watch him stutter..I guess stupid is the wave of the future…Or Sustainable Development is what they call Communism now…how sweet….just ban life in general by being mindless twits….not only will government supply the toilet paper, they want to wipe our ass as well, sounds like Vegetable Nation to me…Mindless Twitville..Of course I reckon I am no better than them Communist..since their already brain dead I want to ban their life support…

It’s about time we have an enlightened person in government. Animals have rights. They should not be made to suffer either on factory farms, on the receiving end of a rifle, in labs or in traps. Besides, the raising of animals for food is the largest cause of environmental destruction.

MM – When animals can sit down at the table and carry on a conversation, get an education, get a job, pay taxes and vote, I’ll accept the fact that animals have rights.
And are we to assume because you think farming and raising livestock is bad, then we should get rid of our food supplies and I’m sure you blame man for everything so let’s start systematically removing man from this planet too.
Who do you suggest we start with first? Millions of babies are being killed before they are born so that’s taken care of. Should we take out the elderly before they become a burden on our society. If they don’t pay taxes anymore, they are unpatriotic and only become a drain on our economy and your ability to put money in the stock market.
I bet you’d like to remove anyone who disagrees with your way of thinking.
And I have said it before, anyone who actually believes an animal should be given the right to sue in an American court of law, is not only unfit to serve this country but should be barred from practicing law.

I had a long talk with my dog about the animal rights situation and while she thinks that sheand some of her doggy buddies should have special rights she doesn’t think that wolves or coyotes or any other animal that might eat her should. She also think that elk and deer should be treated as they are because she loves th jerky they make.

OK, I watched your trailer film, http://www.earthlings.com/ I’ve been in those places where the cattle are brutalized, I’ve seen the chickens tortured, the hogs which in my opinion are not fit for consumption anyhow, and I don’t support those industries, and I do not support doing business with China as well, in fact I never did..I chose to hunt, to kill my meat clean and as humanely as possible..Why then is it ok for predators to slaughter in this brutal fashion, like wolves decimating and slaughtering elk and deer in Idaho, ripping the unborn fetus out the mothers womb, killing the weak newborn fawns and elk calves, killing the bulls exhausted after the rut, why is this reintroduced wolf program ok to you but my once a year elk is not..Why do the major supporters of your thesis or theory support this man made disaster in Idaho Wyoming Montana which has ruined elk herds and caused major herd collapse, all for the destruction of hunting..YOU SEE MY FRIEND YOU PEOPLE KILL ANIMALS TO, the only purpose of wolf reintroduction by your supporters into the lower 48 IS TO DESTROY HUNTING OPPORTUNITY AND THIS IS BEING DONE BY DESTROYING UNGULATE HERDS, to take away hunting by man..
