AP: Global Warming “A Ticking Time Bomb”
December 15, 2008
Read Noel Sheppard’s piece about the poor science reporting.
*Update* December 18, 2008 2:40 P.M.
In response to the above article, Fox News reported on the APs “hysteria” and non factual science of climate change.

Wonderful article. I couldn’t help but post this, it cracks me up;
What is going on currently is that A) India has dismissed the whole thing, saying “we will never be higher in “per capita” energy use than the western countries; B) the Europeans have figured out that it will cost them big bucks and are fleeing from their Kyoto promises; C) the bandwagon in the USA is still going forward in high gear, and in about a year they’ll realize they’re way out in front with no followers. — Dr. Thomas P. Sheahen, an MIT educated physicist, author of the book “An Introduction to High-Temperature Superconductivity,” and writer of the popular newspaper column “Ask the Everyday Scientist”
GREAT SCOTT I am glad 1.5 trillion tax dollars in the pockets of those cretins that hi-jacked this American government will stop that tick tick tick tick BANG, I feel so much safer already.
Putting the hype in hyperbole: “And coming up here on the show, with wildfires, droughts and storms getting worse, Barack Obama is about to announce his team to take on what has been described as humanity’s greatest problem.” –ABC’s Dan Harris teeing up for Leftmedia propagandizing about how Obama is going to lower the global seas and heal the planet
Said with a straight face: “Mother Nature, of course, is oblivious to the federal government’s machinations. Ironically, 2008 is on pace to be a slightly cooler year in a steadily rising temperature trend line. Experts say it’s thanks to a La Nina weather variation. While skeptics are already using it as evidence of some kind of cooling trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming.” –AP writer Seth Borenstein
Now we know why some people have flat foreheads!
I’m enlightened. Obama must have laid hands on Seth Borenstein and gave him the wisdom to utter such words! I’m in awe!
Puke!
I updated the story about the “Ticking Time Bomb” for those interested. There is a link provided to a Fox News story.
“But I’m really concerned that they’re going to spend all the money on implementation of mitigation, rather than supporting the science.”
Hel-lo!! Too funny. It must be the night, this stuff cracks me up.
More wisdom from the awful press on Obama’s choice for GW affairs;
At a recent talk in Washington , Holdren boiled it down to this:
“Without energy there is no economy. Without climate there is no environment. Without economy and environment there’s no material well-being, there’s no civil society, there’s no personal or national or international security. And the problem is that the way we’ve been getting the energy our economies need is wrecking the climate that our environment needs. That is the essence of the problem.”
So that’s what being a Harvard scientist will get you? WOW! It almost reminds me of the Abbott and Costello rendition of “Who’s on First”
