Superdirt Created By Lost Tribes Of The Amazon
December 2, 2008
National Geographic reports that they have discovered a “superdirt” in parts of the Amazon Basin that allowed the ancient tribes to live and flourish in what has been described as soil “too infertile to feed a sprawling civilization”.
The superdirt is described as containing, “dirt, charcoal, pottery, human excrement and other waste”. And they think this man-made concoction might help to fight, you guessed it, global warming.
