Obama Supports Second Amendment……NOT!

November 15, 2008

I have said all along that Obama lies when he attempts to convince people he supports your right to keep and bear arms. What he fails to clarify is that he supports your right to keep and bear arms provided it meets his idea of what the Second Amendment means.

On the transition team website, information was posted and then removed that began to explain Obama’s position on guns. I wonder why it was taken down? Fortunately for you and I that information was saved by the NRA. You can find the archive here.

Address Gun Violence in Cities: As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade.
Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of
gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn’t have them.
They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also
support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on
foreign battlefields and not on our streets.

Also this week, the Obama administration released a questionnaire that applicants wishing to work for the administration must fill out in order to be considered for employment. NRA also has that information.

“(59) Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.”

Why is this a qualifier or disqualifier to work for Barack Hussein Obama? Don’t I have the right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment? And why would I need to disclose ownership and registration information? Is it also necessary that I tell them which members of my immediate family own a gun?

What a liar Obama is!

If this is a “sample” of McCain supporters, I’d hide my head in shame if I were John.

How scary and embarrassing that these ignorant racists are actually U.S. citizens! Notice the female had no good reason why a “Muslim” couldn’t be president (Obama is not a Muslim — his father was). To say “All Muslims are Terrorists” is as ignorant as saying “All White People are Neo-Nazis!”

I like seeing the lies Obama has made all along, brought
forward where folks can see it for themselves. What a com-
plete waste of an individual to dupe so many for such shitty
    reasons.

So many folks believing the lie is very saddening but, they
are certainly convinced, are’nt they! Good for them! Too
bad so much energy wasn’t spent on protecting life, liberty
but you would have to know what that is, wouldn’t you.

No one that I know thinks Obama will do anything but finish
off what remains of this republic. I agree.

No citizen hs a “right” to work for the President of the U.S.

Just as a company does not have to hire any specific person, (unless they are legally discriminating based on race, ethnicity, gender, etc.) they can ask as many personal questions as they want to! If you don’t like it, don’t apply for a job with the president.

Privacy to gun ownership is not a “right.”

If I were president, I would not want any surprises either! For example, what if you put a Secretary in State place to later find out that their son, daughter, wife, was involved in a crime using illegal guns? What an embarrassment. Presidents can “vet” their employees in any manner they wish. Again, working for the President is not a “right” and you have no such “rights to privacy” in this circumstance.

It is not like the government just deciding they’re going to stop by your house one day and ask to see all your guns.

Big difference. These are silly questions Tom is asking:

    Tom quotes and says:
Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.”

Why is this a qualifier or disqualifier to work for Barack Hussein Obama? Don’t I have the right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment? RIGHT BEATRICAL, No Privacy, if your cousins broke the law you should be hung with them so you don’t embarrass Obama. If you like to hunt ducks you have no right to seek gainful employement. All family matters should be available for BEATRICAL viewing and bashing as she and her man god obama see’s fit. Just hang the Constitution and Bill of Rights up by the neck until finally dead just as you so eloquently stated above, and that is your MASSA OBAMA’S full intention. Enjoy it.

The point, which you always miss, more than likely intentionally, is that Obama has lied and says he supports the Second Amendment. I have said since the beginning that what he fails to iterate is that his support of 2A is under his interpretation which disregards the U.S. Constitution - something he has no intention of honoring.

It’s the hypocrisy and lies Bea not whether he has a right to ask the questions.

I think this election is going to be a “coming of age” moment for a lot of people. They say, “Be careful what you wish for” and a lot of people got their wish yesterday.

And now they’re bound to be disappointed. Not even Jesus could satisfy all the expectations of Obama’s most vocal supporters, or fulfill all the promises Obama has made.

Good intentions do not guarantee good results. Idealists often stub their toes on the wayward rocks of reality, and fall on their faces. And the world doesn’t respond to benign behavior benignly.

But there’s another reason why, A lot of people bought a pig in a poke , and now they’re going to find out what they bought. Obama isn’t what most of them think he is.

The intoxication of the cult will wear off, leaving a monumental hangover.

The main reason this will be a “coming of age” moment is that now Obama and the Democrats have to put up or shut up.

Obama got elected by making himself a blank slate, with vapid promises about “hope” and “change” — but now he actually has to do something. Now he has to reveal his true agenda.

And with the Democrats also having a majority in both chambers of Congress, now the Democrats really have to lead. And they’re not going to do a very good job of it. It’s going to be amusing to watch.

And the people who fell for the demagoguery will learn an invaluable lesson.

It ain’t possible for the Democrats to deliver what’s been promised. Gonna be a hell of a lot of disillusioned lefties out there. A lot of people who felt they were deceived. A lot of people who will eventually realize that the Obama campaign was something of a cult.

Disillusionment will turn to a feeling of betrayal. And that will, in turn, convert to anger.

I would have enjoyed watching lefty heads explode if McCain had won. But we’re going to see lefty heads exploding anyway; it’s just going to take longer.

One last thing: I’m not saying I’m happy with this outcome. I would much rather have had McCain win. But this is not the end of the world, or the end of this nation. We’ve survived much worse.

And now we need to show the lefties how to lose. Our mission for the next four years is to be in opposition without becoming deranged.

Some of this is wishful thinking, but the assessment deserves consideration.

With a bho appointment to the Supreme Court, the damage could be profound and long lasting. Especially to our second amendment rights.

bho and his ilk are closer to the devil incarnate than most people, (including whoever wrote this,) could ever imagine, and in my opinion, the US will never really recover from these combined attacks from the left.

Greg, First of all, Obama is not a God to me! My vote this election year was a clear vote AGAINST the Republicans for various reasons.

Tom, I still fail to see why you think he doesn’t “support” the 2nd amendment because he is asking questions to his potential employees which range the full gamut — I’m fairly certain, however, his urban views of guns is more pronounced than true hunter’s views. It all depends which side of the fence you were raised.

Gun rights, as far as I am concerned, are the last thing anyone cares about right now with this economy. They’re more concerned with feeding their families and most people don’t kill animals for food anymore.

  10. Greg Farber on November 18th, 2008 12:28 am

Yep, no one cares about gun rights, thats why most all gun stores nation wide have had standing room only since the Red Commy Diaper baby born in Kenya took the election, or selection, every semi-auto non assault gun is being bought up, ammo is going out the doors by the pallet, most store owners here, when obama bans semi-auto non assault guns, will close up shop, shut their doors. Gun sales nation wide are booming…And I personally don’t know one hunter who dosen’t eat what they harvest in the fall. Hunters who harvest for food out number the trophy hunter 100 to 1. Not only does communist Obama not support the Second Amendment, he will not support the entire document…Bush did not, Clinton did not, Bush Pappa did not, what the hell makes you thing this Red Democrat Communist will ?

  11. Greg Farber on November 18th, 2008 12:59 am

He already tread on the Constitution by lying about the location of his birth and his citizenship, and if this is finally EXPOSED as it should be and is PROVEN in the Supreme Court then he also DEFRAUDED all donors of $53,000,000. He will obey AIPAC and the CFR, notice how many CFR members he is surrounding himself with ? The CFR is a private club, if you do not agree with them you don’t get to be member…What part of that don’t you understand ? CHANGE–HOPE…not for your nation fool, for the CFR and AIPAC !! And the 51st State Called ISRAEL ! http://www.obamacrimes.com/ All this is, is another criminal puppet liar already back peddling on campaign promises. This birth issue is not over ! And even if the Supreme Court Suppresses the truth, he will still be a Kenyan and Indonesian Citizen. PERIOD.

  12. Greg Farber on November 18th, 2008 1:14 am

Edward Mandell House, 1858-1938, Advisor to President Woodrow Wilson, created the CFR 1917-1918. This Club has managed presidents since that time. Obama has surrounded himself with multiple CFR members. http://www.bollyn.info/home/articles/polphil/rahm-emanuel-and-barack-obama/ There will be more of the same, no change, only hope.

    Bea,
How canyou say most people don’t hunt for food anyore? Maybe not the ones you see but I can assure you that like Greg everyone I know that hunts relies on the elk and deer we harvest. Last year was the fist year in the last 35 years that we didn’t have elk in the freezer for the winter and we had to eat beef out of the store, no thanks, beef hamburger is the worst so we ate very little meat through the winter. With the economy the way it is I think you’ll see more people using hunting has a way to help out with the grocey bills. I was raised on elk and deer, my kids were raised on elk and deer and until the day I die I’ll be eating elk and deer. Unless the wolves eat them all, then I gues I’ll have to come up with some good wolfburger recipes.

Bea - I never said Obama didn’t support 2A BECAUSE he asked certain questions on his employment questionnaire. If you had read what I wrote, honestly, you would have noticed I agreed with you that he can ask any question he wants to. The issue is NOT that he included such a question. The issue is he campaigned that he supported the Second Amendment, albeit without any clarification. What I have said, and I’ll repeat it again if you’re interested in listening, is Obama supports 2A under his terms regardless of what the Amendment says. And why do you suppose he would ask such a question anyway? Don’t you think that anyone he hires who owns a gun would create a problem down the road when he mounts his campaign to rid the U.S. of guns? When he does, will he also disarm his Secret Service agents, etc.?

You indicate yourself that you agree with that position. You seem to believe that the Bill of Rights was written to be changed depending on whether you live in the city or the country as Obama does.

2A isn’t about hunting! and it isn’t about urban versus suburban. That issue is brought up to appease people and win votes.

And you are wrong on what people care about. Nothing we have in America is any good when it is taken away from us, either by massive invasion or incrementally as those who believe the U.S. Constitution is a document intended to be changed to support a changing and decadent lifestyle as the U.S. is living in now.

The problem with discussing with people about constitutional issues is that it is useless when the person does not believe in the document, it’s creation and the purpose of such. For those who don’t, I haven’t much to say to them, except that I am sorry.

While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

‘Welcome to heaven,’ says St. Peter. ‘Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.’

‘No problem, just let me in,’ says the senator.
‘Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.’

‘Really, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,’ says the senator.
‘I’m sorry, but we have our rules.’

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises ..

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.
‘Now it’s time to visit heaven.’

So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

‘Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.’

The senator reflects for a minute, then answers: ‘Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.’

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above…

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. ‘I don’t understand,’ stammers the senator. ‘Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?’

The devil looks at him, smiles and says…….
‘Yesterday we were campaigning. Today you voted.’

Got something to say?
