The Nature Conservancy Forces Environmentalism On Indonesian Natives

The Nature Conservancy, based in Virginia, is proving on a regular basis that it is an extreme, left-wing, radical environmental organization that will allow the death of human beings for the sake of what they call conservation and saving animals. It is thoroughly disgusting to discover their strong arm tactics used to create “wilderness” while trampling on the long held traditions of natives. All this for the sake of saving the Komodo dragon.
The Wall Street Journal tells the obscene story of these Komodo dragons preying on men, women and children in villages near the Komodo National Park, where the dragon makes its home.
The Nature Conservancy stuck its nose into Indonesian business, offering money and advice, seeing a way to promote their self-righteous, Marxist agendas, forcing themselves on the natives of the area.
With this funding and advice, park authorities put an end to villagers’ traditional deer hunting, enforcing a prohibition that had been widely disregarded. They declared canines an alien species, and outlawed the villagers’ dogs, which used to keep dragons away from homes. Park authorities banned the goat sacrifices, previously staged on Komodo for the benefit of picture-snapping tourists.
“We don’t want the Komodo dragon to be domesticated. It’s against natural balance,” says Widodo Ramono, policy director of the Nature Conservancy’s Indonesian branch and a former director of the country’s national park service. “We have to keep this conservation area for the purpose of wildlife. It is not for human beings.”
While reading this story, we can just as easily replace Komodo dragon with wolf or a number of other such species. Check out all the key words and phrases used which are classic examples of the bile spewed forth by animal lovers and environmentalists; “natural balance”, “conservation area”, “purpose of wildlife”. “It is not for human beings.”
It seems that the natives had discovered how to get along just nicely with the Komodo dragon as traditions weren’t just pulled out of the sky. How does anyone think traditions begin?
The natives learned how to feed the hungry dragons so they wouldn’t feed on the villagers. The traditions have been around for so long, they are now deemed as a sacred duty.
These locals have long viewed the dragons as a reincarnation of fellow kinsfolk, to be treated with reverence. But now, villagers say, the once-friendly dragons have turned into vicious man-eaters. And they blame policies drafted by American-funded environmentalists for this frightening turn of events.
“When I was growing up, I felt the dragons were my family,” says 55-year-old Hajji Faisal. “But today the dragons are angry with us, and see us as enemies.” The reason, he and many other villagers believe, is that environmentalists, in the name of preserving nature, have destroyed Komodo’s age-old symbiosis between dragon and man.
For centuries, local tradition required feeding the dragons — which live more than 50 years, can recognize individual humans and usually stick to fairly small areas. Locals say they always left deer parts for the dragons after a hunt, and often tied goats to a post as sacrifice. Island taboos strictly prohibited hurting the giant reptiles, a possible reason why the dragons have survived in the Komodo area despite becoming extinct everywhere else.
These people aren’t stupid. The knew what they had to do to get along with the Komodo dragon. But that means nothing to groups like The Nature Conservancy. They blame the villagers for these problems. Take a look at the pointing of the finger and accusations.
Despite such disbelief in the Komodo villagers’ theories, executives at the Nature Conservancy’s headquarters in the U.S. pledge to reach out and tackle local fears. “Any concern expressed by the villagers will be taken seriously and we will address it if we can,” says Chief Communications Officer James R. Petterson. “The Komodo effort is a work in progress.”
Dragon and man could coexist here in harmony in the past, Komodo park officials add, because at the time the area’s human population was a fraction of today’s size. Now, with local villages pushing deeper inland and attracting new settlers from elsewhere in Indonesia, conflict may be inevitable — and even a fence won’t be able to prevent dragon infiltrations.
“The smell of the village — goats, chicken, drying fish — all this invites the dragons,” says Mr. Latief. “And if the dragons can’t grab the animals, they will bite the villagers.”
Ah, yes! These ignorant natives with their superstitious beliefs. How could one righteous, holier-than-thou organization, bent on controlling the world and stealing the land and stripping people of rights, beliefs and traditions, allow such barbarism? Evidently these people never cooked and raised food before TNC moved in.
They blame the natives for living, accusing them of having the audacity to encroach on the Komodo dragon’s habitat and cook food, raise livestock and live.
The Nature Conservancy should be ashamed of itself but unfortunately they have manage to lie, cheat and steal their way through the American society, convincing enough of them that they are serving the best interest of the animals and the people (notice people listed second). They will continue their evil ways while more human beings, who don’t belong there, according the TNC, get eaten by hungry dragons.
But as Chief Communications Officer of The Nature Conservancy James R. Petterson says, “The Komodo effort is a work in progress.”, The Nature Conservancy places no value at all on human life and the long held traditions of the Indonesians, whether we like them or not.
Fear mongering? Go tell that to the family who had to watch their child get consumed by a hungry dragon. I don’t want to hear it!

These people of the nature conservancy are taught no shame and worse likely are handpicked for the “job” by the elites running these group think tank organizations, group think means no individuality, period.
These David Rockefeller created think tanks from 1965 to date are responsible for this mind set and the connection and influence to the Earth Charter and Maurice Strong of Canada. In 1972 Strong was secretary General of the first Earth Summit in Stockholm. This led to the creation of the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) in 1972. Strong was UNEP’s first Executive Director.
At the same time Strong served as the Director of the International Union For the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The IUCN was accredited by the U.N. in 1946 to become its ” Scientific advisor” and was made up of various government scientists. Within the IUCN, the EPA, USFWS (Who administers the U.S. Endangered Species Act), National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and National Ocean and Atmosphere Administration huddle behind closed doors with the Sierra Club, National Audubon, National Wildlife Federation, NATURE CONSERVANCY, Natural Resources Defense Council, Environmental Defense Fund, etc. to plan and implement this global agenda and the new global ethics from above and below. The IUCN wrote the Convention on Biodiversity and created the pantheistic pseudoscience called ” Conservation biology” to “prove” earth’s ecosystems were being mortally wounded by human use. The IUCN also founded the World Wild Life Fund for nature (WWF) and the world Resource Institute (WRI)which passes the banner back and fourth in developing and promoting treaties and agreements…
Should be called the U.N.s No Nation retains National Sovereignty via pseudo-suicide bullshit conned-served elites programs to steal your lands right out from under the people standing on it.
This means you tree-hugger wolf hugger types are sinking your own boat and drowning your selves along with those of us who no better and want to stay affloat and driving our own boat, so to speak….just look back pre 1968 before the Iron Mountain Report which is another Rockefeller think tank load of crap and you find a world populance who loved the planet to, not just you children sucking up Davids BS.
If you never knew this then you should be asking yourself why does a foreign governmental panel have control of several of we the peoples government agencies and why are we financing the destruction of other Nations on Earth, for example the Indonesian peoples lifestyles which is none of our damn business.
These groups are destroying several lifestyles world wide, lifestyles that functioned just fine for thousands of years prior to these groups being invented in the last 75 years, so it seems to me the threat to this planet is not us but them, those groups and their DOGMA horse manure. Think tank means get some dummy’s in a room and plant several other agents in the room to orchestrate the prescribed agenda which they have been informed the elites want to install to forward their agenda, Im sure the dummy’s get paid well though and go away thinking they helped the world. heh heh, to die maybe.

Give it a rest, Tom. You should stick a little closer to home and not cherry pick a story with a dateline half the world away to promote paranoid anti-environmental rants. I suspect that the Indonesians will find their way with or without funding from TNC. You, on the other hand, will be hard pressed to scratch out a living once some of your bigger sponsors (e.g., Chevy and their earth-eating Silverado) have disappeared from your blog.

The Nature Conservancy is one of the few environmental organizations that supports responsible hunting as an invaluable conservation tool, and works with industry and business to find solutions to environmental problems.
Left wing radical? I don’t think so. The Nature Conservancy is one of the most sane and responsible environmental / conservation organizations in existence.

I am a Psychiatrist, I talk left wingers out of committing suicide after their false Messiah’s lose rigged elections and become overweight paranoid psychotic’s staring at ice cubes and screaming its Melting, OH MY GOD ITS MELTING, sometimes the poor saps say the sky is falling or the world is becoming a Constitutional Republic, poor devils. Others become delusional and believe they can live with wild wolves and other predators, my last patient lost an arm attempting to pet a wolf while camping in the Wind Rivers, she is coming along nicely now though and I believe the straight jacket can be removed next month…..lets hope. My facility in the pristine Idaho mountains with bubbling creeks and tall pines green meadows and quaking aspens helps tremendously to bring these poor souls back to reality and they return to society with a longing to spread the truth where ever they go. Yes, i have researched communism and competitive capitalism among several other political sciences for over thirty years, My CO in the seals told me always know your enemy boy. good advice.

I am a psyhciatrist and I prescribe you Panthera with left winger Schizophrenia which is a simple malady easily cured by a good hard kick to the posterior, also it seems you have selective memory as well, try some hemp seeds and blue berries for that, perhaps Pantheism as well, thinking wolves are God like or human like, of course malthusians suffer from this thinking the earth, rocks trees, bushes, even animals all have God in them and we humans are the devil, sad sad sad, I have seen several of these types of shattered human minds driveling about and stammering out baseless inuendo backed by nothing but false propoganda, takes months to turn these people around, some never come out of it. It could be we all are in need of a shrink, How many banks must collapse before folks get what is taking place in this country. Environmentalism is fine, but is severely being abused by politicians and members of the U.N. Real environmentalism took place prior to 1970 and died out around 1985, it has been used as a tool to destroy freedoms and individual rights all the while doing nothing for the environment. nothing.
Just because I hunt three weeks out of the year and choose to eat elk deer ducks pheasants grouse fish rabbits and such next to my organic rice, shelled hemp seeds, fresh fruits and vegetables and two gallons of fresh water daily does not mean I do not love this earth and its wonders any less than you do.
