Live-Trapping A Beaver - Milt’s Corner
Posted by Tom Remington on August 4, 2008

Maine Fish and Wildlife used this trap to catch this beaver alive and transport it to a new home. The beaver was making a dam in front of a small bridge, this in turn will raise the water level and wash out the road and make it impassable. Sometimes the beaver come back and start work on his dam again. That means it will be trapped once more and have a longer ride to a new work location for him or her. - Milt Inman

The DNR is the reason for the loss of tens of thousands of dollars in timber and landscapeing just from the people I personally know to these big wet “termites”. I kill about a hundred of those “cute” beavers a year and give them a short ride to their new home as turtle bait.
If the DNR were held responsible for their inconsiderate behaviour of taking their problems and DUMPING THEM LIKE A STRAY DOG on unsuspecting property owners they might adobt a different attitude.

Hey, they make a damn fine hat though, got three of them skins myself to shade my head and keep it dry. As for changing attitudes I think we need a Jackhammer for that job, pick an shovel to.
