Mont. State Vet Says Brucellosis Came From Elk Not Bison

Most suspected another case of the disease brucellosis that should up in a cow recently came from local herds of so-called wild bison. Testing done by the Montana state veterinary office, concluded that the culprit for causing the spread was elk.
I wonder if the same testing can determine how the elk contracted it? Or maybe they don’t want to know.

The first two words of this article tell the “rest of the story”……since when are “likely” and “suggest”, words to base scientific conclusions on?
Maybe we ought to get a second opinion, before we get our “surgury” underway…

I thought much the same thing, Jes!
This past school year, my 9-year old granddaughter did her science fair project. During the fair, one of the judges was asking her questions about her project and she began her statement by say, “I think” or “I believe”. I thought for a nine year old she did great (and so did the judge) but he told her that as a scientist we don’t “think” or “believe” certain things. We either can prove them or we can’t.

I hate to get on a “pet” rant, but when you take a bunch of scientific “opinions”, and start considering them to be truth……you are going to have hell to pay someday!
Take another good example: the FDA recently withdrew their comdemnation of the tomato! Wow! Think about all the tomato farmers, suppliers, shippers, and produce stands that went out of business, before the FDA changed their mind, and decided….well, MAYBE, it’s in the peppers!
In fact, if it is the peppers, why are they so hell-bent on destroying the vegatable, instead of simply washing it? Know why? Because, according to their website, they don’t know what “residue” that would leave on the produce!!
So, according to them, maybe we ought to leave off of eating off washed plates! Think of the “residue” you might be eating! Has the world gone mad before their time? Or just the bureaucratic baloney is so damn tasty to people these days!
I think the real truth about these agencies is they really don’t think a regular American citizen can think enough to wash his food before he eats it! Or they simply don’t trust any citizen to exercise good sense! Or be able to reason!
In other words: they want to do our thinking for us….

Idaho has cut tags of controlled elk hunts in half, yet they turn around and claim we have 180,000 elk. Before this wolf program we had 200,000+ elk in 94-95, if ya couldn’t get your elk back then it was because you were home watching football. The IFG web site controlled via federal funding is LYING to Idahoans.
This Brucellosis is another lie to lead us towards NO HUNTS. Mark my words these government stooges who have been promoted from used car sales-men-women are LYING thru their teeth and the agenda is to kill hunting.
