Looking For Companions For A Hunting Trip

But before you rush to sign up for this hunting trip, you better read the bold print! I’m ready to declare an open season on idiots, morons, thugs, Internet terrorists, SPAM jockeys and any other brain dead scumbag who has nothing more productive in life than to spend time ruining yours.

For four days now I have essentially had my Black Bear Blog hijacked by some low life. If you have been coming here, you might or might not have seen the blog I did apologizing that I had some low level virus, or I forgot what fancy terminology my son used to describe it, that was creating a “rash” on my blog.

It seems that somewhere, somehow, and those we pay good money to care for our website can’t find, a virus of sorts got into the software of the Black Bear. Searchers will either get redirected to another site or in the case of someone landing on a Google search page they would see something that looks like what follows.

For instance, if you were to Google “District of Columbia vs. Heller”, one of the most high profile Supreme Court cases in this country, you’ll land on page one of the search results. Nestled nicely on page one and at the time of this blog located at number 6 well ahead of just about every major newspaper in this country, is the Black Bear Blog. Here’s what you see.

Notice the second line. “The site may harm your computer.” Not only that but you click the link and you get a ginormous Google page further stating that the site you about to visit is contaminated with malware and may harm your computer. It might as well say it will eat your face off!

I’m trying not to get really upset by this but months of hard work so this can happen gives me something more than a couple gray hairs. My site traffic has virtually disappeared along with my patience.

But all I can do I guess is wait for lousy customer service to fix it and then see how long it takes Google to remove the “Death to Anyone Who Goes Here!” sign from the search engine results.
