A Sunday Visit To Acadia National Park
July 14, 2008
Hungover from all the fun, sun and wind on Mount Desert Island, in Maine and Acadia National Park, I’m moping about camp trying to clear my head and get some work done. My wife has headed out with her brother again for a canoe trip on the Androscoggin River from Hanover to Rumford.
Below is a picture I took at Thunder Hole just south of Sand Beach, where we had spent an hour or so with the grandkids, son and daughter-in-law. The kids played seemingly unabated in the 56 degree surf while I headed back up the long stairs to the car where I found a fleece jacket to wear.

I took some video of the action at Thunder Hole that I’m looking at. If it came out ok, I’ll see if I can get it uploaded for you to take a look at.
