The U.S. Supreme Court ruling last month that defined the Second Amendment and upheld a lower court ruling that the ban on guns in Washington, D.C. was unconstitutional, was a major victory for those who cherish our rights. So try to buy a gun in D.C. now!
According to the Boston Globe, it can’t be done. There are no licensed gun dealers in the District - well, any that actually sell guns - and it is still against the law to transport a gun into the District from outside.
Mayor Fenty declares he will retain the strictest gun control laws permissible and getting laws passed to allow guns into residents hands could take awhile.

Fox News is reporting that the Mayor of D.C. is attempting to place a ban on semi-automatic handguns in the city.
