Obama - I Believed The D.C. Gun Ban Was Constitutional Before I Believed It Wasn’t

Not to pick on Obama - oh heck! Why not? - But really, he is no different than any other blood sucking, slime ball politician trying to have things both ways in order to lie, cheat and steal their way into office.
Obama said on more than one occasion that he believed the District of Columbia’s gun ban was constitutional. Then just prior to the Supreme Court ruling in District of Columbia vs. Heller, Obama changed his mind.
In an article by Jacob Sullum in Townhall, he lays out how it all went down.
Last November, by contrast, Obama’s campaign told the Chicago Tribune “Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional.” The candidate was so upset about that misrepresentation of his views that he sought to correct it — seven months later. A few hours before the Supreme Court pronounced the D.C. gun ban unconstitutional, an Obama spokesman told “ABC News” his campaign’s November statement to the contrary “was obviously an inartful attempt to explain the senator’s consistent position.”
The lesson, for those who haven’t caught on yet, is to never listen to campaign rhetoric as it is all lies. Follow their past and voting records to gain a better understanding of their true positions on issues.

I’ve been looking for this quote from Obama on the Chicago Tribune website and it does not exist. Obama was Constitutional law professor, and he knows that the 2nd Amendment doesn’t specify individual ownership of handguns, so that is a matter of intrepretation. However the 2nd Amendment does that the right to posses guns can not be infringed upon. I would say that means that Government can not ban people from owning weapons.
The decision involved a armed security officer’s ability to take his weapon home in D.C. where he worked. D.C. is not a state so it falls under federal jurisdiction which is why this was up at the supreme court.

Obama was never a Constitutional scholar, he may have proffessed something once in a government controlled screw your mind over school possibly, but this guy spews cultural marxist socialist crap.
RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Natural right, NOT a Priviledge, Natural Right. How much clearer could it be that all men between the ages of 18 and 45 are the unenrolled miltia with an absolute right to keep and bear arms under the above 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The founders also advised the government never be allowed a standing army, as a standing army can forget who they represent and really are to protect. Notice those “Lawmakers” have a lot of guns protecting them from us. Those “lawmakers” wish to disarm us. And most state Constitutions have the same wording like Oregon:
Article I, Section 27, Right to bear arms–The people have the right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the state, but the military shall be in subordination to the civil power. I ask you, just where does it say that the right to bear arms is vested solely in the organized militia??
Like Idaho:
Section 11. RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. The people have the right to keep and bear arms which right shall not be abridged;
SECTION 12; MILITARY SUBORDINATE TO CIVIL POWER.
Well where is it?? Damn clear to me what my natural rights be and NO ex-post 10th amendments or de-facto laws which directly violate those first 10 amendments can or ever can legally change this SUPREME LAW as set forth by the founders of American Jurisprudence.
Tell your Mullatto stooge cultural marxist from Kenya to bugger off as he is a puppet at best and not a man who stands above others and even fails himself as a man as he is their arena LACKEY and nothing more. Piss on Obama.

The Right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themsleves and the state shall not be denied.
section 25;
The military shall ever be in strict subordination to the civil power….
