It’s Time Something Be Done About The Endangered Species Act
December 3, 2007
When I hear these reports, I know that things are out of whack, people have their priorities backwards and it’s time to rip the Endangered Specie Act to shreds as it isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
In Idaho a woman raises wolves. One escaped and has been on the lam for about a month killing and maiming livestock. The owner of this wolf just recently admitted it was her wolf. Local authorities have been trying to catch this wolf, even to the point where they just planned to kill the vicious canine.
BUT, WAIT!!!!! God knows those precious wolves that belong to the animal rights groups (they must belong to them because nobody else wants them) are worth a lot more than private property, like livestock, pets or even a human life. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which now appears to be a subsidiary of the Defenders of Wildlife, Humane Society of the United States, PETA and all the others, has told the local sheriff to stand down his attempt to shoot the wolf.
Law enforcement officers in southwestern Idaho have been told by federal wildlife managers not to shoot a domesticated wolf that’s been killing and maiming livestock for a month, for fear they might mistakenly kill one of the roughly 800 federally protected wild wolves that roam the state.
Reports claim that all known protected gray wolves reside north of the Snake River. This wolf that escaped is south of the river. Sheriff Gary Aman thinks this order is “maddening”.
Still, Sheriff Gary Aman said US Fish and Wildlife Service officials advised him to hold his fire, for now — in the rare event that one of the protected animals swam the waterway and has taken up residence in his remote region of sagebrush, rattlesnakes and just 11,000 people. “There could be a one-in-a-million possibility that this could be one of their other animals,†Aman told. “It’s maddening. This is a very, very aggressive, vicious animal. It’s used to being around humans, it depends on humans for food and it’s been out for almost a month.â€
So there you have a classic example of your tax dollars at work. You have a known vicious domesticated wolf running the neighborhood killing livestock and causing a public health risk and the feds are going to allow this to continue on the grounds that there’s an outside possibility someone might shoot one of those precious reintroduced wolves. Further proof that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is out of control and their priorities are askew. It further clarifies that the way the Endangered Species Act is being administered is nothing more than an outright abuse of personal property rights and public safety.
It’s time for some change. Things are so far out of control that there is little wonder that any sane person would support protecting any species. And these animal rights people wonder why property owners want to kill all the wolves.

According to some enviromentalist I’ve read, the answer to increase wolf numbers would be for us to hunt them more to induce that rebound population thing a ma what ever she said.
“Compensatory Rebound,†yeah that’s what she called it. Right here below is the explanation she used.
“This phenomenon is known as “Compensatory Rebound,†and explains why sport hunting as a management tool has resulted in an ever-increasing number of deer in this country.”
What I’m wondering is, does that mean if we just killed ‘em all, would we wind up with more than we ever had?
You are right! We could use the same tactics and claim that the only way to save any endangered species is to hunt it. You see, we don’t need an Endangered Species Act. As a matter of fact, we could get rid of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Yes, let us save all the wolves and have them live in Central Park, New York. Let’s see how the city folk like them then.
you all hunters really need to get a REAL life and a REAL job instead of just killing innocent creatures, besides that wolf is just trying to survive just like we all are, he has the right to do that. what fun is killing and causing pain is anyway? how bout you just live life to its fullest instead of worrying “oh god what could i possibly kill next?” all of you are nasty careless selfish monsters go to hell!
Back away from the pipe, Steve, and just say “NO!” to drugs.
