Safari Club International Joins Lawsuit To Fight The Overturning Of Grizzly Delisting
November 12, 2007
Last June seven animal protection groups filed suit against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to stop the delisting of the grizzly bear from protection under the Endangered Species Act. That delisting involved only the Yellowstone National Park and its immediate surrounding area.
Safari Club International requested the courts to be allowed to join in the fight against that lawsuit and U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge in Idaho has granted SCI and its associated litigation organization, Safari Club International Foundation, to participate in the lawsuit as “friends of the court”.
