Black Bear Breaks Into House, Eats Cupcakes
May 16, 2007
Who’d a thunk it, as the old expression goes. Not Christi Leggour who arrived home Monday evening after one of her children’s soccer games to find a black bear resting in the kitchen sink eating cupcakes and spraying water all over the house. The bear evidently picked up on the aroma of the cupcakes and broke in the window over the kitchen sink and was feasting on cupcakes when Leggour entered the kitchen. She screamed and ran back to the garage making her three children get back into the car.
What she saw when she went into the kitchen was a bear half in the window and half out but mostly propped up in the sink and munching on a plate of cupcakes and a bowl of candy. The sink spray hose was detached and water was spraying everywhere.
That same night while the family was in bed sleeping, the bear returned and tried getting in a door and another window. Needless to say, the Leggours and the neighborhood are just a bit upset.
Read more about the story and the efforts fish and game people are taking to trap this bear.
