Some Unusual Game Cam Pictures

January 26, 2007

All I can tell you about these pictures is I received them from my good friend in W. Virginia, Rod Davis, the source for all things mysterious and unknown. What’s interesting about these is they are a bit unusual I would say.

Bat captured on game cam

Snake captured on Game Cam

Coyotes captured on game cam

Racoon riding on wild boar captured on game cam

Is that a bat in the first picture? If it is that is a truly amazing picture.

Sure looks like a bat to me!! It is amazing. I would really like someone to explain the raccoon on the boar’s back.

That first picture is a great stroke of luck (and a cool background desktop pic on my PC for the next few days), the second one is neat look at how well deer navigate in the dark, the third one is just plain old nature in action, (what are they eating? makes me want to slap a fresh cut steak into a hot sizzlin’ black iron pan) , the fourth one is far and above a really interesting and puzzling scene, and another great stroke of luck. It appears by the date stamps that they are from several different cameras, that’s good because if one single photographer was this lucky I’d be mighty jealous.

Great photos! Just about convinced me to finally get a camera. Raccoons are ingenious: they can open any ice chest and empty the contents among many other tricks. That coon is thinking “if I can just maneuver this guy over there a little more I can reach that hoist, unlock it and let that can of corn come crashing down and I’m set for a month!”

I can hear the raccoon saying to the pig. “Closer, get me closer and when l get the crank you can have some more corn you pig. “

Anyone care to speculate on the eyeshine to the left of the bat? To big to be an owl, to high to be another deer unless there’s one heck of a rise behind the feeder…big cat in a tree?

Not sure really! Not even sure it’s “eyeshine”. Being that not all the pictures were done at the same time or even the same location, it’s hard to say.
My first thought it was a raccoon waiting in a tree for the pig to come by but I think those were all different times, maybe even different locations.

It’s just such a wide spread…too big for a ‘coon at the distance I’d think. Car headlights in the distance?

When I first got these pics in my inbox, the mail said they were from East Tx. Wish I could run down the original poster.

Can’t help you with the original poster. Maybe try Snopes or Truth or Fiction? Sometimes you can find it there.

Got something to say?
