A Look At Wisconsin’s Deer Hunting Season

December 22, 2006

Tim Eisele, through the Capital Times, gives readers a pretty good look at the past hunting season. This includes problems such as illegal baiting and feeding, shooting wolves and accidents, to a breakdown of how many licenses hunters bought and who bought them, along with other nice little tidbits.

Where I live if you are tracking a deer and have to leave it over night, most or the time you will find bones and a head the next morning. This happened to two I shot with a bow this year.
With the number of wolves and coyotes out there more hunters will shoot them given a chance.
I, like many hunters think there should be a limited harvest of wolves starting now.
If hunters are shooting this many now there are plenty to harvest.

Do you have an opinion as to how many wolves you think are being shot that never get discovered by authorities? By hunters I mean.

Got something to say?
