Great Dismal Swamp Bear Hunt Ends In Shutout For Hunters
December 4, 2006
The Great Dismal Swamp proved to be too big an obstacle for hunters as no bears were taken during the hunt. Of course idiots who believe that bears have more rights than humans are happy and I even read comments from people saying that this proves there isn’t an overpopulation of bears because “even hunters” couldn’t find the bears.
Needless to say, I would suggest any members of the “Intelligencia” head out into the wilds of the Great Dismal Swamp and you see how many bears you can see.
Authorities will assess the hunt and make changes that will hopefully aid them in their management plans for black bear in the Swamp. Better luck next time bear hunters.

Oops. Sorry I misread your last couple posts on this matter…I thought the NJ Bear hunt was cancelled. I deleted my post.
Thanks for the update on the bear hunt. Hopefully it will go better next time.
