National Parks Hunting
October 3, 2006
Yesterday I brought you more on the continuing story of plans by the National Parks officials to slaughter hundreds of elk in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. This slaughter, it appears, will be at the hands of hired “sharpshooters” skulking about a night with silencers, so as to not disturb the guests.
I made reference in my previous post to an article I found in the National Parks Conservation Association magazine, that said that it was illegal to hunt in national parks.
Moose over at MooseDroppings, found out more on this story and dug up the laws governing hunting in national parks. You’ll find, as many of you may have already known, this is not true.
