Federal Judge Upholds Law Protecting Gun Manufacturers
May 23, 2006
When the Congress passed into law a Bill that would protect gun manufacturers, the idea was to stop foolish lawsuits aimed at blaming gun violence on companies that make guns. This could be likened to suing Ford for making a car that ended up killing human beings in accidents.
The Washington Post has the story about such a lawsuit and how and why the judge ruled the way she did in the case. It is interesting to read and gain a better understanding of the intent of the law and how it is viewed by both sides.
