Mother, Two Children Attacked By Black Bear

There’s not a lot of information at this time but authorities in Tennessee are saying that a woman and her two kids were attacked by a black bear. One of the children is dead. The other child and mother are in critical condition at a hospital in Chatanooga.
Wildlife personnel are searching the Chilhowee Mountain area for the bear. The family was from Ohio and authorities aren’t sure if they were camping in the area or not. It is unusual that black bears would attack people and officials suspect the bear may have been ill.
A six year old girl was killed and the mother and a 2 year old boy remain in critical condition.
