Pennsylvania Hunters Continue to Speak Out

April 13, 2006

I’ve been following along with the debate in Pennsylvania about whether there are enough deer to hunt. On April 3, 2006, I brought you a story about deer density in that state and the perspective of what the state is attempting to do in controlling deer populations. In this article, I gave you a link to a piece presented by the Ecosystem Management Project. Essentially what they said was numbers need to come down and hunters need to change their tactics.

The following week, I followed up that story with one that gave you an opportunity to hear what hunters had to say about how the state is managing its deer herd.

This morning in that same online publication, Public Opinion, hunters in Pennsylvania once again speak out about deer hunting. Their responses are in reference to the article on deer density and the DNR’s effort to manage deer.
