Maryland Man Charged With Several Hunting Violations

Some is good. More is better. Isn’t that often times the American outlook on things? It seems that way for James Michael Mazingo of Hagerstown. He has been charged with nine counts of exceeding the bag limit of antlered deer, one count of failing to purchase a bonus antlered deer permit and five criminal counts of making a false entry into public records.
Maryland law allows a total of 6 antlered deer - two each by bow, muzzle loader and firearms. A bonus permit is required for the second deer in each season. He tagged the extra deer on his 15 year old daughter’s license. That’s a no-no.
The investigation began after a citizen reported suspicious activity.
